GENERAL SUMMARY:

The VPHRA directs and manages all human resource administration functions and supports the human resource personnel as needed within the Christian Village Communities’ to align with the (CVC) strategic business plan objectives and mission.

MISSION AND VALUES:

The VP HRA must be sympathetic with and as well as enthusiastically support the organization’s Core Values; Respect, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence. The VP HR Administration must demonstrate the following Non-Negotiable Traits: Be Trustworthy, Be a Team Player, Be a Good Communicator, Be Professional and Be Positive.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

Essential Functions:

  1. Keeps abreast of all Federal and State laws and legal issues affecting the Human Resources function.
  2. Provides consultation on all human resource matters to members of management, utilizing legal counsel as appropriate.
  3. Evaluates and updates personnel policies, procedures and systems to ensure alignment with business objectives and community culture.  This includes the Employee Handbook and Job Descriptions.
  4. Establishes and monitors the process for maintaining all personnel files, confidentiality of such records, and release of information contained within.  Conducts periodic audits of all files.
  5. Manages recruitment process in compliance with all Federal, State and local laws.
  6. Assists with the employee intake process as needed: processing applications, interviewing, screening, and new hire orientation.  Manages maintenance of required logs.
  7. Assists in the development and the administration of all employee benefit programs and oversees annual benefits open enrollment.  Functions as contact person for insurance carriers.
  8. Develops performance evaluations and reward/recognition systems to ensure consistency with business objectives and to remain externally competitive and internally equitable.
  9. Periodically reviews employee metrics (turnover, satisfaction, exit interviews) and makes recommendations to CEO regarding changes to policies, procedures, reward systems or benefits that will improve employee satisfaction, retention and enhance career development.
  10. Manages the Workers’ Compensation program and serves as the liaison with the PEO and the internal Safety Committee.
  11. Manages all Unemployment Compensation claims, hearings and appeals.
  12. Confers with and counsels employee s regarding personnel issues and work related concerns.   
  13. Develops and implements staff development and staff education programs to insure compliance with ODH, COA and other agencies.
  14. Reviews all personnel corrective actions and provides advice in all termination decisions. Serves as resource for management staff, explaining and interpreting personnel procedures and the implications of applicable laws and regulations.
  15. Keeps the CEO apprised of the work environment and employees issues.
  16. As requested by the VP of Operations, will provide oversight of the Director of HR at CVMH, the Director of HR at CVMHCF. Provides oversight of the receptionists at CVM.
  17. The VPHRA is a member of the Executive Council and represents all HR administrative functions and concerns.
  18. The VPHRA serves as company liaison for the Resident/Employee Christmas fund.
  19. Is responsible for OSHA recordkeeping.

Other Duties:

  1. Attends in-service training and education sessions.
  2. Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by CEO.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. A minimum of three to five years management level human resources generalist experience.
  2. Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal labor regulations, personnel administration, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, recruiting and selection, and training and development.
  3. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Experience with Human Resource Information Systems, database management and payroll software.
  5. Must have a four-year degree in Human Resources or related field. SPHR and/or SHRM-SCU certification(s) preferred.

TITLE: Admissions Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Admissions Supervisor

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Admissions Coordinator performs all necessary functions of moving residents into the Serenity Center for Nursing Care, Special Care, Guardian Center for Memory Support, and the Grace Center for Restorative Living.

This position also assists with clerical and other duties, as requested. A key aspect of the Admissions Coordinator duties will include focusing on Guardian Center and Serenity Center, while still being proficient with Grace Center admissions as needed and directed. This position must help drive revenue by assisting to maintaining census at or above budget.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Support the Admissions Supervisor to accomplish the departmental goals and objectives as outlined in the CVMHCF revenue budget for Admissions.

2. Completes all admissions paperwork accurately and on time.

3. Works with prospective residents, patients, family members, and key influencers to facilitate timely and beneficial commitment to the community. This includes frequent personal contact including telephone calls, tours of the community, and home or office visits.

4. Assists with assessments for new residents with the Nursing Supervisor.

5. Coordinates internal and external moves, which includes interacting with other departments to assure that rooms/apartments are prepared for move-in and keeping all pertinent parties apprised of move-in dates and possible adjustments.

Qualifications

1. Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent. Degree is preferred, but a combination of education and experience is appropriate.

2. Computer skills, including Microsoft Office products.

3. Ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner.

4. Ability to work in a team environment or individually.

5. Knowledge of guidelines related to the Fair Housing Act (FHA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) preferred.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The General Maintenance person is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the physical plant. Conducting under supervisor direction, preventive maintenance, routine servicing, seasonal repairs and changes, building equipment and plumbing repairs.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

Essential Job Duties:

Performs general maintenance duties, such as fixing wall covers, floor covers and some furniture and fixtures, light plumbing work, minor electrical repair and appliance repairs.

Performs painting and refurbishing projects, as directed by supervisor.

Performs routine preventive maintenance, as directed by supervisor.

Performs minor building and equipment repairs.

Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by supervisor.

Assists, during winter, with snow removal efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school education. Technical Schooling and/or background preferred. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.

One year’s maintenance experience necessary.

The Charge Nurse is an RN/LPN who is responsible for the overall nursing care/service on his/her shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation and emergency calls, as indicated.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

RN/LPN currently licensed in the State.  At least 6 months nursing experience in long term care setting preferred.
