GENERAL SUMMARY:
The General Maintenance person is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the physical plant. Conducting under supervisor direction, preventive maintenance, routine servicing, seasonal repairs and changes, building equipment and plumbing repairs.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
Essential Job Duties:
- Performs general maintenance duties, such as fixing wall covers, floor covers and some furniture and fixtures, light plumbing work, minor electrical repair and appliance repairs.
- Performs painting and refurbishing projects, as directed by supervisor.
- Performs routine preventive maintenance, as directed by supervisor.
- Performs minor building and equipment repairs.
- Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by supervisor.
- Assists, during winter, with snow removal efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS:

About the Position
Under the direction of the supervisor, the General Maintenance team member is responsible for maintaining various aspects of the healthcare facility and ensuring that maintenance requests are completed safely, efficiently, and according to priority.
Daily responsibilities may include room flips, light electrical and plumbing work, painting, coordinating with contractors, completing work orders, preventive maintenance, and assisting other members of the maintenance team.
