Larry Monroe, President and CEO, Christian Village Communities
Larry Monroe is the President and CEO of Christian Village Communities, a Division of the Christian Benevolent Association of Greater Cincinnati, Inc. Prior to assuming his leadership role at CVC, Mr. Monroe was the Chief Fundraising Officer at Kentucky Christian University. The bulk of his business experience for nearly 20 years was leading corporate insurance sales organizations, the last of which was in the capacity of Executive Vice President of the AON Corporation of Coral Cables, Florida. Larry’s hobbies include fly fishing, hunting and playing guitar.
Vickie Brashear, Chief Financial Officer
Vickie Brashear is the Chief Financial Officer of Christian Village Communities, a Division of the Christian Benevolent Association of Greater Cincinnati, Inc. Prior to CVC, Vickie served as the CFO/Controller for more than 12 years at other long-term care facilities and has over 10 years of Medicare auditing experience. While most of Vickie’s career has been in long-term care, she also spent 5 years at GE where she completed their Corporate Financial Management Program with national honors. Vickie is a CPA and holds an accounting degree from the University of Cincinnati’s Carl H. Lindner College of Business. Vickie is a big Cincinnati Reds fan. She attends at least one away game while visiting a new city each year.
Tracey Bray, VP of Human Resources
Tracey Bray is the Vice President of Human Resources for Christian Villages Communities. She comes to her role with over 23 years of HR Management experience in the healthcare field. Over her career, she’s gained more than 20 years of experience within the senior-living continuum of care realm. Tracey earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Ohio University, majoring in Human Resource Management and General Management. During leisure time, she loves spending time with her husband, daughter, son-in-law, granddaughters, and fur babies.
Susan Myers, Vice President of Health Services, Compliance and Analytics
Susan Myers is the Vice President of Health Services, Compliance and Analytics for Christian Village Communities. Susan is a registered nurse (RN) and has been dedicated to the senior care industry for 27 years, with experience in both for-profit and not-for-profit companies. Susan has been with Christian Village Communities for 7 years and formerly acted as the Director of Analytics and Compliance. Susan holds a bachelor’s degree in science and nursing from the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing and Health. Susan spends leisure time camping, hiking and kayaking with family.
Bob Slade, VP Operations, LNHA
Bob Slade is the Vice President of Operations for Christian Village Communities. Bob has worked in the long-term care industry for 25 years and has garnered experience in both for-profit and not-for-profit companies. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business, with a major in accounting from Wright State University and has been a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator for 11 years. In his free time Bob likes golfing and being by water.
Lizz Stephens, VP Marketing & Business Strategy
Lizz Stephens is the Vice President of Marketing & Business Strategy for Christian Village Communities. In her 15 years with the company, Lizz has developed her expertise in the related arenas of admissions, marketing and sales, and most recently as CVC’s first VP of Business Development. Lizz led and launched the rebranding initiative for the Christian Village Communities. Lizz enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

Bob Slade, VP Operations, LNHA
Bob Slade is the Vice President of Operations for Christian Village Communities. Bob has worked in the long-term care industry for 25 years and has garnered experience in both for-profit and not-for-profit companies. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business, with a major in accounting from Wright State University and has been a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator for 11 years. In his free time Bob likes golfing and being by water.
David Ray, Chaplain
David Ray joined the Christian Village at Mason in March of 2022 after leading churches in Tennessee, Indiana, and Ohio. He has lived in greater Cincinnati since 1987, serving as Senior Minister at Parkside Christian Church and Executive Minister at Christ’s Church at Mason, before joining the faculty of Cincinnati Christian University in 2011. As Professor of Christian Ministries at CCU, he taught both graduate and undergraduate students, held administrative roles including Dean of the Seminary & Russell School of Ministry, and was the university’s Interim President for two years. David has also held interim preaching roles and been a consultant/coach to churches and their leaders. Immediately before coming to CVM, David was a chaplain with Mercy Health Hospitals. He is grateful now to bring his varied ministry experiences into chaplaincy within the Village, which includes preaching for Sunday worship in the new Stone Center.
David holds a Bachelor of Arts from Johnson University, Master of Divinity from Emmanuel Christian Seminary, and Doctor of Ministry from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Carol, live in the Anderson Township area of Cincinnati. They both enjoy the arts, travel, and hearing people’s stories.

Julie Nagele, Executive Director, LNHA
Julie has worked in the non-profit long-term care industry for over 20 years. She has worked in a variety of positions such as a State Tested Nursing Assistant, Corporate Life Enrichment & Volunteer Director, Corporate Compliance Officer, and became a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator 3 years ago. In addition, she is certified in the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement program and earned a Harvard Business School Leadership Program Certification. Julie enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and being outdoors
The CBA Board of Directors provides leadership for and governance over The Christian Village Communities and its affiliate organizations. Each of the two communities and the CBA Foundation have their own Board of Directors.
