Larry Monroe is the President and CEO of Christian Village Communities, a Division of the Christian Benevolent Association of Greater Cincinnati, Inc. Prior to assuming his leadership role at CVC, Mr. Monroe was the Chief Fundraising Officer at Kentucky Christian University. The bulk of his business experience for nearly 20 years was leading corporate insurance sales organizations, the last of which was in the capacity of Executive Vice President of the AON Corporation of Coral Cables, Florida. Larry’s hobbies include fly fishing, hunting and playing guitar.
Vickie Brashear is the Chief Financial Officer of Christian Village Communities, a Division of the Christian Benevolent Association of Greater Cincinnati, Inc. Prior to CVC, Vickie served as the CFO/Controller for more than 12 years at other long-term care facilities and has over 10 years of Medicare auditing experience. While most of Vickie’s career has been in long-term care, she also spent 5 years at GE where she completed their Corporate Financial Management Program with national honors. Vickie is a CPA and holds an accounting degree from the University of Cincinnati’s Carl H. Lindner College of Business. Vickie is a big Cincinnati Reds fan. She attends at least one away game while visiting a new city each year.
Donna Clifford is the Vice President of Human Resources for Christian Village Communities. She has been with the company for 11 years, initially as Director of Human Resources and most recently as VP of Human Resources. Donna holds two professional certifications, SHRM-CP and PHR, and is an active member in several professional HR organizations. She is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati. Donna and her husband reside in Symmes Township. They have a son and a daughter and are proud grandparents to three grandsons.
Lisa Cecil is the Vice President of Health Services for Christian Village Communities. In addition to more than 20 years of experience in the long-term care industry, she has over 8 years of hospital experience, as both a Radiologic Technologist and Registered Nurse. Lisa obtained her nursing degree from Miami University. She holds a bachelor’s degree with a management major from the University of Cincinnati and a master’s degree in health administration from Ohio University. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, exercising and quilting.
Lizz Stephens is the Vice President of Business Development for Christian Village Communities. In her 10 years with the company, Lizz has developed her expertise in the related arenas of admissions, marketing and sales, and most recently as CVC’s first VP of Business Development. Lizz recently led and launched the rebranding initiative for the Christian Village Communities. Lizz enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
Bob Slade is the Vice President of Operations for Christian Village Communities. Bob has worked in the long-term care industry for 25 years and has garnered experience in both for-profit and not-for-profit companies. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business, with a major in accounting from Wright State University and has been a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator for 11 years. In his free time Bob likes golfing and being by water.
Steve Henderson is the Director of Church Relations for Christian Village Communities. Before coming to CVC, Mr. Henderson served at Bainbridge Church of Christ, Fairfield Church of Christ, First Christian Church in Washington Court House and Glen Este Church of Christ in Cincinnati. Steve and his wife Debbie enjoy spending time with their family, especially their five grandchildren.
Mark graduated from Ozark Bible College, and earned a master’s in Ministry degree at Kentucky Christian University. He spent the majority of his working years in ministry where he excelled in church growth.
Mark enjoys hunting and being with family. He and his wife Kazan have four grown children and four grandchildren.
Tom Moll is the Senior Chaplain for Christian Village Communities. Tom grew up in two Cincinnati churches: Bridgetown Church of Christ and White Oak Christian Church. He graduated from Cincinnati Bible College and Seminary in 1966 with a B.A. in Bible and married Julie Martin from Miami, Oklahoma, the same year. Julie was a tremendous encouragement and support to Tom’s ministry until her death from cancer on Jan. 3, 1990.
Tom married Kay Watts in 1991. Kay has been very involved in Tom’s ministries since their marriage and served as Director of Women’s Ministries and Missions at Christ’s Church at Mason during their ministry there. Tom brings nearly 50 years of experience preaching at churches across the country. He was most recently the Preaching Minister at Christ’s Church at Mason where he grew attendance from 500 to approximately 2,500. Tom has three children who are all actively involved in full-time Christian ministry and 13 grandchildren.
Jonathan (Jon) Underwood came to The Christian Village at Mt. Healthy in June 2014 after 33 years at Standard Publishing, where he was senior editor of the Standard Lesson group of products. Jon has also served several Cincinnati-area churches as a part-time or interim minister and currently serves as an elder at the Forest Dale Church of Christ. His wife Kathy often assists in chapel services by playing the piano. Together they produce Christian leadership books in Spanish through their publishing ministry, La Palabra de Cristo (The Word of Christ), an idea that was encouraged by taking a mission trip to Colombia in 2005. Jon has since been on six additional mission trips.
The CBA Board of Directors provides leadership for and governance over The Christian Village Communities and its affiliate organizations. Each of the two communities and the CBA Foundation have their own Board of Directors.
