What We’re Grateful for in 2021

During this season of gratitude, we wanted to take some time to reflect on this past year and the many reasons we’re grateful. Despite the continued stress from the pandemic, 2021 was a year filled with renewed hope, joyful resident experiences, and continued progress for Christian Village Communities.

Resident Satisfaction During Trying Times

At Christian Village Communities, our focus above all else is the health and safety of our residents, patients, and team members. 2021 was our first full year being in a worldwide health pandemic, it was important to us that we listened to our residents and responded accordingly. We surveyed residents at The Christian Village at Mason and The Christian Village at Mt. Healthy asking how we responded to the COVID-19 pandemic. We were proud to share that over 90% of residents from both campuses agreed that CVC responded well to the crisis.

Medicare Rating

We’re thankful for another year of being a Medicare 5-star rated at both communities! We pride ourselves on ensuring that every resident is treated with the utmost care.  We proudly earned this rating due to our continued success in passing health inspections, proper history of staffing and an appropriate resident to staff ratio, strong quality measures based on clinical data, and a high overall rating in comparison to other nursing homes.

Stone Worship Center & Auditorium Completion

In August 2020, residents and staff attended a groundbreaking ceremony at our Mason campus for our Stone Worship Center & Auditorium. Over the past year, we’ve witnessed the Stone Center transform and evolve into a beautiful addition that will serve our residents for years to come. It is with sincere gratitude that we thank our residents, board of directors, leadership, and donors that have helped us turn this dream into a reality. We look forward to welcoming our residents and coming together for worship in the Stone Center in 2022. Learn more about the Stone Center at www.christianvillages.org/stonecenter

Connection with the Community

It’s no doubt that the healthcare field has felt the weight of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, aside from experiencing increased stress during this time, both communities felt increased generosity and connection to our community. Our communities received various gifts and staff appreciation initiatives from multiple churches in the community. We also surpassed our fundraising goal for the Stone Center, thanks to our residents and generous donors. We’re grateful for our community and the ability to provide care for older adults in Mason and Mt Healthy.

Vaccine

Although, we all hoped the pandemic would be long over by now, we are extremely grateful that the COVID-19 vaccine was made available in the beginning of this year. We appreciate all that our residents do to pursue a healthier, safer future and all that our employees have done to keep our residents safe!

YOU!

The residents, family members, and team members that chose to be a part of our community in some way, shape, or form in 2021. You have given us the greatest gift of all – allowing us to take care of you or your loved ones. We’re grateful for our staff members that uphold our mission and strive towards excellence for our residents. If you’re a resident or family member, we’re grateful that you chose us to take care of you and we consider it a great honor.

We look forward to 2022 with gratitude for all that this past year has brought us and renewed excitement for our mission to serve older adults with excellence!
