How Our Nonprofit Foundation Supports the Community

communities for older adults of all life stages and needs

At The Christian Village Communities, care is at the heart and soul of everything we do. That’s why we established our Foundation as another way to extend a helping hand.

The Foundation’s mission is to support the ministry of Christian Village Communities by providing grants to qualifying residents and employees needing financial assistance. According to President and CEO Larry Monroe, the Foundation focuses on two primary areas of support:

Resident Subsidy: People are living longer than ever before, and even those who thought they had adequately planned for retirement may outlive their financial resources. In the 50-year history of Christian Village Communities, no one has ever been asked to leave because they could no longer fund the cost of their basic healthcare and housing.

Employee Assistance: The Foundation also supports our employees in a variety of ways:

  • Renewable college scholarships for high school seniors working in our Dining Services department
  • Tuition assistance for full-time employees wanting a work-related, higher education degree or enhanced professional credentialing

“The CBA Foundation is making a huge difference in the lives of residents and employees, and is the lifeblood of one significant portion of the mission of Christian Village Communities,” says Monroe.
